Let's get this party started

Tick Tock. Ya don't stop. This is going to have to be my anthem. New blog to cover the ups and downs and what-have-yous of my aortic valve replacement surgery. Say what? My who? Oh you didn't know? I was born with a congenital defect and after a couple kids, the valve is ready to retire. So modern medicine and science will step in to keep my life story rolling. Its Majah baby (HINT: sounds like Major but with a heavy Spice Girls English accent).

Looks like open heart surgery will be August ish. Recovery is 8 weeks ish. And yes, earlier than I was expecting. By like a decade. Mind blowing on a few levels which we will explore here with humor. Lots and lots of humor. Dark humor. Because if you ain't gonna laugh, you will cry.

I have lofty expectations, as usual. For example, thinking posting here and or Facebook will help keep the dialog open with my peeps without making this more exhausting than it is. My set mode in these times is to start to shut down or go dark, which is jarring for people who see me as so open. Intending to keep it real. It won't be pretty. Avert your eyes if you must. This is your one and only warning. Spoiler alert: I am a horrible speller.
